The freehold of Horne Park Golf Club is being offered through HLL Humberts Leisure. The annual turnover of the business is approximately £330,000

HLL Humberts Leisure, the chartered surveyors and leisure business specialists, is instructed to offer Horne Park Golf Club for sale on the open market. Offers in the region of £750,000 are invited for the freehold property.

Horne Park Golf Club is located in attractive countryside between Crawley and Lingfield, some 6½ miles from J6 M25 Motorway. The freehold property comprises a 9 hole 2,718 yard (par 34) Howard Swan designed golf course, a golf driving range, practice facilities and a 455 sq m (4,895 sq ft) clubhouse with living accommodation. The club has a strong membership base (361 members as at October 2002) and a good green fee business.

Horne Park Golf Club has been under the ownership of the existing proprietors since the club opened in June 1995. The business, which has enjoyed 10% per annum growth over the last three years, is being offered to the market as a retirement sale. The business has achieved a turnover of approximately £330,000 in the year to 31st October 2002.

Ben Allen is handling the sale from HLL Humberts Leisure’s Winchester Office. “We frequently receive requests from purchasers seeking golf academy opportunities such as Horne Park Golf Club,” he said. “Horne Park is an ideal business for someone seeking their first venture in the golf market. The property has been developed to a high standard and offers continued growth potential.”

The vendors will consider either a sale of the property (fully fitted and equipped) or a sale of the entire issued share capital of Horne Park Golf Academy Ltd.
