Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has been instructed to bring Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club in Northamptonshire to market, presenting a rare opportunity to acquire a highly profitable hotel and golf resort with an array of value enhancement opportunities.

Located just a few miles from Daventry, with easy access to the M1 and the M40, Staverton Park is just an hour by train from London via Northampton railway station.

The hotel’s 18-hole golf course was opened in 1977 and has matured into an impressive championship parkland layout that has hosted numerous top level events over the years. The 6,602 yard course has many defences against par, including a number of lakes and over 60 American-style bunkers, while large, suspended water table greens allow for year-round play.

The golf course is complimented by a driving range and a dedicated clubhouse, including a bar, restaurant with outdoor patio area, as well as a function room.

The on-site hotel boasts 247 bedrooms and also offers a wide range of health and leisure facilities, including a spa, sauna and steam room, cardiovascular gym, sun bed and beauty treatment rooms and a 15-metre swimming pool.

Staverton Park offers an additional 61 conference suites, the largest of which can host 420 guests, with views across the golf course.

Jeremy Jones, Head of Brokerage, Christie & Co, said: “Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club provides an exceptional opportunity for a new owner to build upon on its growing success and increasing profitability. With a whole range of investment, branding and operational asset management opportunities of offer, the scale of the business will appeal to both domestic and international investors.”
