Luke Charleton and David Hughes, of EY Ireland, have been appointed Receivers to The Lodge at Doonbeg and Doonbeg Golf Club in Co Clare, Ireland.

In a statement issued yesterday the Receivers said that the Resort will continue to trade as normal, that all employment will be maintained and there will be no change in the status of members of Doonbeg Golf Club.

“There will be no disruption to services as a result of the appointment, events booked will go ahead as scheduled, and all deposits and gift vouchers will be honoured,” stated Mr Charleton

Interest in the property has already been expressed and the Receivers are hopeful that the business can be sold as a going concern.

The Resort, which includes a links golf course designed by Greg Norman, fully opened in 2006 and is recognised as one of the premier golf and leisure destinations in Ireland and Europe.
