HMH Golf and Leisure have announced that contracts have been exchanged with a British based organisation for the sale of this top rated European golf complex in the Loire valley, approx 1½ hours drive from Paris.

The property comprises 3×18 hole golf courses including the championship Les Bordes course (photograph attached), designed by Robert von Hagge for Baron Marcel Bich in 1986 and 2 additional resort courses known as Le Prieurie de Ganay.

There are also 2 clubhouses, 40 hotel bedrooms in attractive woodland cottages and a Hunting Lodge. The entire complex has potential for considerable further development subject to the necessary planning consents being obtained which would enable it to become a major destination resort.

HMH Golf and Leisure acted for the Japanese vendors, Kosaido International, and the guide price was €25million.

Completion of the sale is not expected before October
