New clubhouse and lodges planned for Dundonald Links

Darwin Escapes, the operator of 21 lodge resorts, holiday parks and golf courses around the UK,  has submitted plans to North Ayrshire Council to build a 2 storey clubhouse at the site, replacing the current temporary structure

Following the purchase of Dundonald Links for £4.5m in March, Darwin Escapes, the operator of 21 lodge resorts, holiday parks and golf courses around the UK,  has submitted plans to North Ayrshire Council to build a 2 storey clubhouse at the site, replacing the current temporary structure.

The clubhouse will feature a bar and lounge as well as a state of the art gym and extensive changing facilities.

Darwin aims to add 97 luxury lodges (pictured) to the site, offering a mix of self-catering and hotel style accommodation from 1 to 6 bedrooms in size, designed to suit individuals and groups of golfers.

In addition, the plans include a new halfway house for the course, a swing studio and a new 120 space car park.

A decision on the application from the local authority is expected in January.
