Macclesfield golf centre for sale at £2.5 million

Adlington Golf Centre, near Macclesfield, is a hugely successful business and locally renowned golf facility. Facilities on the 125 acre site include a 24 bay floodlit driving range, integral pro shop, a 9 hole par 3 academy course, and detached, 3 bedroom house with planning consent for additional facilities

FPDSavills, the leisure and golf specialist, have been instructed to sell Adlington Golf Centre, near Macclesfield, Cheshire. The golf centre, situated between Macclesfied (6 miles) and Stockport (6 ½ miles), was opened in 1992, and developed by the current owners into a hugely successful business and locally renowned golf facility.

Facilities include a 24 bay floodlit driving range, integral pro shop, a 9 hole par 3 academy course, built to USGA specification, and detached, 3 bedroom house. The 125 acre site also includes additional land with planning consent to construct two separate 9 hole courses, plus additional driving range and teaching facilities.

Jeremy Rollason of FPDSavills leisure comments, “It is extremely rare for such a specialist and successful golf business to be offered for sale, particularly in such an affluent area. Indeed, the population catchment of 1.1 million within a 30 minute drive time even surpasses some of the better 18 hole golf facilities in the M25 corridor.”

Offers are invited as a whole at £2.5 million, with a possibility of a separate disposal of the house in the region of £500,000.
