The Directors of HMH Golf & Leisure have announced their continuing success in the golf market. Recent acquisitions include Tracy Park near Bath on behalf of a retained client and for an undisclosed sum. The property comprised 36 holes of golf, 42 bedrooms set in some 220 acres of parkland.
The Property was marketed by Knight Frank with a guide price of £8.95m. and local news media have named the purchaser as Martin Shaw, part owner of Eagle Resorts
HMH have also been busy in Ireland and HMH acted for a private individual in the purchase of The Castlemartyr Resort & Spa Estate outside Cork again for an undisclosed sum. The property comprised a state of the art 103 bedroom hotel, 18 hole golf course designed by Ron Kirby, three bedroom houses and 19 lodges. The whole property is set in 210 acres and the mansion overlooks a lake. In June the guide price was reported to be €13 million.
Tom Marriott comments: “These two acquisitions demonstrate that there is a continuing appetite for asset backed businesses that show potential for further development and where the existing business can be improved.”
