Formby Hall is located at the heart of England’s Golf Coast and is part of a collection of 12 of the finest golf courses in Britain and is situated between the classic seaside resort of Southport and the vibrant cultural city of Liverpool.
The resort has been meticulously designed throughout to take full advantage of the 183 acres of parkland. With 62 bedrooms, Formby Hall combines the individuality of a boutique hotel with the facilities of a four-star luxury spa and golf resort including multiple high-trading restaurants; L37 Restaurant and Cocktail Bar Lounge, 19th Hole bar, Java Lounge reception and Spa Bistro.
The resort is well known for the high-profile Formby Hall Golf Club, which is accustomed to hosting major events which have included the European Challenge Tour, the Senior and European Pro Tour events. It is the newest of the three venues to be used for the inaugural England Golf Coast Pro-Am and has already built a deserved reputation as a fine test of golf.
The golf operation includes an 18 hole parkland championship par course, 9 hole par 3 course, driving range and PGA Academy, which is one of the finest golf teaching and analysis facilities in the UK. The golf operation is very successful with over 500 members and includes a 26 Bay floodlit weather proof driving range and a busy golf shop.
The Resort comprises two large conference/banqueting rooms fully equipped for weddings, functions and other events. The largest room, the Ambassador, has a banquet capacity of 280 people with stunning backdrops and views over the golf course. The more intimate Diplomat Suite can accommodate up to 150 people.
