Old Nene Golf & Country Club is located on the edge of the town of Ramsey, within 15 minutes drive of both Peterborough and Huntingdon. The name is derived from the Old Nene river which passes through the property.

In 1991 the Old Nene received outline planning permission for a leisure complex including 27 holes, 70 bedrooms, a restaurant/bar and a marina. This consent has lapsed but the present owners believe that the local authorities would still be amenable towards further development of the site. There is also the possibility of purchasing adjacent farm land which would enable the course to expand to 18 holes.
