Bristol Club For Sale

9.15am 17th January 2000 - Property

The freehold of a 27-hole golfing complex in the West Country is up for sale as a going concern at £1.65 million – just seven weeks after KPMG were appointed as administrative receivers.

Farrington Golf Club, situated 10 miles south of Bristol, boasts an 18-hole Championship course, a 9-hole “executive” course, a purpose-built teaching centre, 16-bay floodlit driving range and is on offer through FPDSavills.

The club, which was opened in 1993, has enjoyed a consistent annual turnover of £500,000 and a profit margin of 25%. but it has hit hard times and the receivers were called in at the beginning of December.
