KSL Capital Partners, owners of The Belfry Hotel and Golf Resort, has confirmed that it is the new owner of Cameron House Hotel at Loch Lomond but will be making no further comment for the time being.

Local media report that the American investment company has paid between £70 million and £80 million for the 132-room property, which has 27 holes of golf, a spa and 184 timeshare lodges but this has not been confirmed.

Cameron House Hotel was among the locations acquired by QHotels when it purchased the hotel from the De Vere Group last November as part of its acquisition of six former De Vere Hotels and the De Vere Luxury Lodges.

The purchase price was not disclosed but at the time some experts believed that it could have been in the region of £160 million.

Even after this sale QHotels will remain the UK’s largest golf resort operator.
