Adventurous Journeys (AJ) Capital Partners has expanded its portfolio of golf hotels in Scotland with the purchase of The Marine Hotel in Troon.
The 89-room hotel, which overlooks Royal Troon Golf Club’s Old Course, will be the third Scottish golf property acquired by AJ Capital, which also owns Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews and the Marine Hotel in North Berwick.
The trio of seaside golf-linked venues will come under a new umbrella collection that AJ Capital is calling Marine & Lawn.

The Marine Hotel’s former owners, Cannock Group and Stellar Asset Management, started renovations to the hotel in the spring and these updates will be continued by AJ Capital beginning in late 2020. Once completed in summer 2021, the reimagined hotel will debut with revitalised guest rooms, two unique food and beverage concepts, expansive meeting and event space and an updated fitness and leisure centre with an indoor pool, squash court and sauna and steam facilities.

The Marine & Lawn Collection will join AJ Capital Partners’ growing portfolio of hotels throughout the UK, which also includes the Randolph Hotel in Oxford and the Cambridge Hotel in Cambridge, which are currently undergoing renovations and will reopen as part of the Graduate Hotels collection in 2021.
