Topgolf is expanding its portfolio of venues in the US with the opening of a new facility in Durham, North Carolina.

Topgolf Durham, which opens on April 12, will be North Carolina’s third Topgolf venue, with the two other locations in Charlotte. It takes the total number of Topgolf venues in the US to 89 and to 99 outdoor venues globally.

The new Durham site boasts 102 climate-controlled hitting bays spanning three levels and will employ up to 500 staff across all areas of the facility. The venue also features a full-service restaurant, a rooftop terrace, a private events space, a 28-foot video wall, more than 200 HDTVs, and an outdoor patio.

Topgolf Chief Operating Officer Gen Gray said: “We’re so excited to finally be able to welcome golfers to our signature Topgolf experience in Durham. It promises an experience like no other.”

Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams added: “Not only am I excited about getting to play at Topgolf, but I’m excited for our city, as Topgolf’s opening brings with it 500 good-paying jobs for our community. We expect people to visit Topgolf from other areas of the state, which benefits our local economy and is a testament to Durham’s growing range of entertainment offerings.”

Topgolf has a number of other US venues under construction, including one in Greensboro, North Carolina, which is scheduled to open later this year.
