TaylorMade’s new world-class testing and fitting golf facility, The Kingdom at The Grove, will feature performance turf systems from SYNLawn UK, an industry leader renowned for its bio-based innovations and advanced synthetic turf technology.

Developed in partnership with TaylorMade Golf and The Grove, the facility, which will open in May, will replicate many of the supreme offerings from The Kingdom at TaylorMade’s global headquarters in Carlsbad, California.

From Scottie Scheffler to Rory McIlroy, Charley Hull and Tommy Fleetwood, The Kingdom provides the framework for fitting the world’s most iconic athletes, and golfers of all abilities are invited to have the same experience that unites the art and science of golf.

SYNLawn UK is providing the pro-tested artificial turf systems across both the indoor studios and the outdoor practice grounds, bringing the same turf technology that made SYNLawn the Official Synthetic Surface of TGL presented by SoFi, the new indoor golf league from Tiger Woods and McIlroy.

The indoor putting areas will feature Precision Putt, the same performance driven system used at TGL while the short game areas will feature the Classic Chip system. SYNLawn UK is also transforming the 7.4-acre driving range with bespoke hitting areas with the Tee Strike and Tee Strike+ systems and target greens, integrating fringes and fairway designs throughout.

The strategic design also incorporates the advanced underlayment systems SYNLawn is known for, allowing the turf to receive shots from more than 150 yards and deliver a natural bounce, check and roll.

The Kingdom at The Grove will feature three state-of-the-art fitting bays supported by Trackman, Foresight, GEARS and Quintic, alongside a custom workshop, lounge and locker room. Outside, a 600 sq metre teeing ground comprising the SYNLawn systems will sit in front of the building, feeding into the 320-yard practice range reconstructed by Kyle Phillips Design with SYNLawn target greens and a redesigned 4,000 sq metre short-game complex.

Michael Walker, CEO of SYNLawn UK, said: “The Kingdom at The Grove demands surfaces that stand up to elite scrutiny. Every ball struck here is measured, and the turf beneath it has to deliver consistent interaction, predictable feedback and resilience under sustained use. Our systems have been selected because they provide tour-calibre performance across both controlled indoor environments and expansive outdoor practice areas.”

He added: “This project demonstrates how synthetic technology has evolved. We are not simply installing turf; we are delivering engineered playing systems that support data-led fitting, high footfall and year-round operation. For The Grove and TaylorMade, surface performance is integral to the overall experience.”

David Abeles, president & CEO of TaylorMade Golf, said: “The Kingdom has been an iconic part of the TaylorMade brand for many years, and we’re thrilled to bring it to a new market enabling more golfers to experience what we do best. Since the beginning, we’ve been on a journey to become the market leader in customisation and personalisation. This new facility is a tangible sign that our strategy is thriving and will help strengthen the global position of our brand.”

Anna Darnell, general manager at The Grove, said: “The Kingdom at The Grove represents a significant investment in the future of our golf offering. Working with TaylorMade and SYNLawn UK ensures that both the technology and the physical environment are at the forefront of innovation and meet the expectations of Tour professionals, elite amateurs and committed golfers alike.”
