Sotogrande has unveiled plans for the development of a new golf academy at Almenara Golf, located at the SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort.
This project will see the existing 9-hole Alcornoques Course transformed into a state-of-the-art golf academy, setting a new benchmark for golf training facilities in the region.
The Almenara Golf Academy will feature a comprehensive range of world-class amenities, including a natural grass tee line and a covered tee line with a VIP area, Toptracer driving range technology, a custom fitting centre, a bar and café, and night-time practice facilities.
Additionally, the new academy will have a par-3 course with nine holes designed by legendary local golfer Manuel Pinero and a professional coaching academy, which will include three practice holes, a professional practice zone with a dedicated tee line, multiple putting greens, and a short game area.

Construction is already under way on the new Almenara Golf Academy, which will complement the existing 18-hole championship layout at Almenara Golf. This expansion reaffirms Sotogrande’s commitment to providing exceptional golf experiences and enhancing the overall offering for guests and members.
