RUFF Golf rolls out indoor golf concept in Switzerland

10.24am 4th December 2024 - Practice Range & Teaching

Last week saw the doors open at RUFF Luzern, the first indoor golf facility to be launched in Switzerland by RUFF Golf

The Swedish-based company plans to open five RUFF venues in Switzerland over the next five years, with the next facility opening in Bern on December 8.

RUFF Golf sold the 10-year master franchise rights for Switzerland to Austrian Markus Gaggl earlier this year and the first indoor facility in the country opened on November 23.

RUFF Luzern has five Trackman simulators, a practice putting green, and a food & beverage operation, with the new venue in Bern boasting the same facilities.

RUFF Golf venues boast Trackman 4 simulators for game play and practice, along with extensive F&B offerings

Alex Bengtsson, CEO of RUFF Golf, said: “The opening of RUFF Luzern is another step forward in our journey as the leading player in golf entertainment in Europe. Indoor golf is still a relatively new phenomenon in Switzerland, as it is in many other parts of Europe, but we see a huge potential for growth and look forward to seeing more RUFF facilities opening up in Switzerland soon.”

RUFF Golf already has three facilities in the DACH region and 11 in Sweden through a franchise arrangement. In December, RUFF Düsseldorf will also open and next year there are plans to open at least six more in DACH.

Bengtson added: “Interest in golf is growing, and there is a need for new ways to play and socialise in order for it to grow further. That’s exactly what RUFF offers. We want to revolutionise golf and make it more accessible.”
