The new venue in Birmingham will be on Colmore Square in the heart of the city’s business and shopping district, while the Manchester site will be in Goods Yard in the new Enterprise City development.
Pitch Manchester, which is scheduled to open in March, will feature ten simulator bays, a custom club-fitting bay, and a TRENDYGOLF Concept Store which will stock a wide range of popular apparel brands including J Lindeberg, Hugo Boss, Manors, Malbon Golf, Ralph Lauren and G/FORE.
Each Pitch venue uses high-tech simulator technology to accurately recreate the experience of real golf, where guests can receive teaching from qualified professional coaches or play for fun with friends. The F&B operation includes a bar and kitchen serving drinks and an Asian-inspired food menu, while DJ nights are also part of the hospitality offering.
The new venues will also extend the brand’s academy for beginner women golfers, in partnership with Adidas, which has proven successful in London with over 1,000 golfers.
Pitch co-founder and CEO Elliot Godfrey said: “We’re very excited to open our first venue in Manchester at the start of 2025, giving Pitch a presence in one of the UK’s busiest cities and one with a special relationship with sport. When we began the process of expanding beyond London, Manchester was one of the first places we set our sights on, and it’s fitting to open our innovative concept somewhere that has always striven to be at the forefront of development and progress.”
Speaking about the Birmingham site, which will feature eight simulator bays and a custom-fitting bay, Pitch co-founder Chris Ingham added: “With a rich history and large contingent of modern, forward-thinking residents, Birmingham was an obvious choice to open one of our first venues outside of London and we’re very much looking forward to bringing Pitch to the city later this year. We’re thrilled to have secured a location right in the heart of the action, with a huge choice of transport links, accommodation, restaurants and bars a short walk away in every direction.”
Pitch opened its first venue in Bishopsgate in central London in 2016, before expanding with a further venue in Soho and another in Canary Wharf which is opening in February. The company has recently opened a site in Dublin and there are plans to add another location in Brighton and expand internationally in Australia and the USA.
