Marriott Golf, the Global Golf Division of Marriott International, Inc. has announced William Nault’s role as Vice President, Global Golf Division, has been expanded to include the oversight and management of Marriott’s golf courses in the Americas along with continuing responsibility of the managed Global Golf portfolio (Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific continents and Marriott’s freestanding golf management contract business).
This portfolio includes 45 golf courses in 13 countries – covering eight full-service premium and luxury brands. He will also continue to lead Marriott Golf’s relationship with Marriott Vacation Club (VAC) and Marriott Golf Academies.
Bill has extensive experience in multiple golf course facility types, including resort, public and private clubs within the Marriott portfolio. Bill moved to Marriott Headquarters in 1995 and has played a key role in the expansion of MI’s golf business and the development of luxury tier golf standards for The Ritz-Carlton. His responsibilities have also included development planning, new projects and acquisitions, feasibility, strategic partnerships, associate training and mentoring of numerous current golf industry leaders.
A graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Ferris State University and Class A Member of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of America, Bill began his Marriott career in 1983 as a Golf Professional at The Grand Hotel Golf Resort in Point Clear, Alabama. He has worked in several leadership roles at numerous Marriott golf properties including JW Marriott Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ; Marriott’s Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, MO; Castle Harbour in Bermuda; Marriott’s Wind Watch in Hauppauge, NY and Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, CA.
Bill has served as golf liaison to Children’s Miracle Network, helping coordinate countless charitable outings at our managed locations in support of Marriott’s Spirit to Serve initiatives and is an active member of several golf industry associations.
