‘Unsung Hero’ opens this year’s Awards

Open to all UK Greenkeepers and Groundsmen, the Unsung Hero Awards are sponsored by long-term supporters Pitchcare and the English Golf Union and judged by representatives of BIGGA, the IOG and the STRI.

Adrian Kay, Head Groundsman at York Racecourse and one of Terrain Aeration’s current Unsung Heroes was on hand at Saltex to cut the ribbon on nomination forms for this year’s awards.

Open to all UK Greenkeepers and Groundsmen, the Unsung Hero Awards are sponsored by long-term supporters Pitchcare and the English Golf Union and judged by representatives of BIGGA, the IOG and the STRI.

Nominations are invited from anyone in the industry, (with the exception of immediate family) and provide the perfect opportunity to nationally recognise a true ‘Unsung Hero’, a Greenkeeper or Groundsman who not only excels at his/her job but gives it that little bit extra that makes a difference.

Nomination forms are available to download from the Pitchcare website and the English Golf Union website, or they can be obtained from Terrain Aeration direct. Call Lynda Green on Tel: 01449 673783 or email: terrainaeration@aol.com
