The Land Drainage Contractors Association Sportsturf Drainage and Turfcare seminars and demonstrations are to be held at BIGGA House on 7th November and at The Oxfordshire Golf Club near Thame on 14th November.
The seminars will review the latest techniques and current developments in drainage, construction, establishment, and aftercare for sportsturf surfaces, and will also be applicable to other types of leisure and amenity areas. The seminars will benefit everyone concerned with sports and amenity surfaces including local authorities; parks; groundsmen; greenkeepers; golf clubs; football and rugby clubs; sportsgrounds; racecourses and polo grounds; specifiers; and sportsturf and landscape contractors.
Now in their fifth year, these popular seminars bring together leading figures in the sportsturf industry in a comprehensive programme covering sportsturf construction, establishment and maintenance.

Speakers include: Jim Crabbe and Paul Burtonshaw from the LDCA; John Hacker and Andy Cole from Professional Sportsturf Design; and Noel Mackenzie and Tim Colclough from Grass Science.
A feature of the day will be a practical working demonstration of sportsturf drainage. Demonstrations will include techniques and machinery for pipe installation, sand slitting, vertidraining, gravel banding, and equipment for spoil conveying and backfilling.
