The Open Party – Golf’s Big Night Out

"We‘ve got a full tank of gas, half a packet of cigarettes, it’s dark and we‘re wearing sunglasses....hit it!"‘Click’ the headline to find out what this means!

Dundee’s Discovery Quay will be rocking to the sounds of the Scottish Blues Brothers on 18th July 2007 for this year’s Open Party and organisers, the Trinity Partnership say they are “on a mission from God” to make sure the entire golf industry has a fabulous night out.

It’s a scenic venue with a backdrop of the Tay and the famous Discovery whaling ship which once accompanied explorers, Shackleton and Scott on their Antarctic adventures.

On the quayside will be a barbecue supper and non-stop entertainment from the dynamic Scottish Blues Brothers, talented solo musician Paul Dobie and the non stop dance sounds of ARPDisco which will be held on an outdoor stage – weather permitting.

This year’s event is sponsored by Tourism Ireland, Gloria Golf Resort (Turkey), Golf Monthly, IAGTO and Pro Shop Europe, and as the organisers say, “It’s one big foot stompin‘ hand clappin‘ whip crackin‘ heart stompin‘ horn-blowin‘ bass-kickin‘ all surfin‘ all dancin‘ all rockin‘ all rollin‘ Blues Brothers Party.” What more can you say?

Tickets are on sale now at £45 each and include champagne reception, barbecue supper, beer and wine.
