Leatherhead Golf Club enjoys a superb location, adjacent to the M25, equidistant from Heathrow and Gatwick and only 18 miles from the centre of London. The immediate area around the Club is one of the highest per capita income neighbourhoods in the country

The Club was founded in 1903 in an area of outstanding beauty. Since 1956 the Club has been owned by Leatherhead Golf Club Limited and it has been run as a commercial undertaking with a strong membership base.

The business model has been extremely successful making maximum use of the location to develop a Club with various income streams, both golf and non-golf.

Leatherhead Golf Club Limited has been a consistent profit making company, net profits have averaged 20% on sales over many years: the wide customer base, the course and the location have provided an enviable continuity of earnings.

This continuity is underlined by the high proportion of annual earnings pre-booked at the beginning of each year and the volume of repeat business.

Leatherhead is a business first and foremost and it is offered for sale as a turnkey operation with all the management and operating capability in place.

The commercial strategy of Leatherhead Golf Club is to exploit business opportunities which use the facilities of the club yet do not impact upon the golfers’ enjoyment.

The 13,000 sq.ft. clubhouse provides the perfect venue for business meetings, seminars and conferences, weddings, events or special occasions. The lounge and members locker areas have recently benefited from an extensive refurbishment programme. There is staff accommodation within the Clubhouse for up to 8 employees

Leatherhead is a demanding test of golf with a SSS of 71. The course is very beautiful and is bordered by a wide variety of established trees including many 300 year old oaks.

The front nine will reward the longer hitter provided the ball is kept straight from the tee but on the back nine a good score can only be maintained with accurate shot making to greens that are well guarded, fast running and hard to hold.

Offers are invited in excess of £4.0 million for the shares in the companies which own the assets and freehold interest of Leatherhead Golf Course.
