International Golf Development (IGD) is delighted to announce that Scott Cranfield has been appointed to the position of Head of Training. Scott will be a real asset to the team as he brings enormous expertise in the sport.
Scott began playing golf at the age of 12 and turned professional aged 18. He has been coaching golfers including professionals for more than 20 years now and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Scott is also to be found working as a coaching pundit on television, originally for Sky and more recently for Setanta Sports. Widely published, Scott regularly writes articles for leading golf magazines.
Scott’s new role with IGD will see him manage and develop the expansion of the coaching programmes, whilst also providing expertise and guidance in other areas of the business.
Scott is a strong believer in the Starting New At Golf (SNAG) equipment and is confident it can help work towards his target to create more than two million new golfers.
“The World is moving at an ever faster pace and becoming more interactive by the day, if we are to grow the game of golf we must engage new golfers in a way we have not done before. The SNAG equipment and training is a huge leap forward in the right direction. It is my intention to bring to SNAG some unique research and practical experience around how people learn, move and think, that will not only ensure more golfers start the game but they progress faster so they enjoyment kicks in quicker! The tools they will learn with SNAG will impact their golfing skills and their life!” Scott said.
IGD Managing Director, James Healey admitted that Cranfield’s appointment was a real boost for everyone at the ever-expanding IGD – the European distributor for SNAG equipment.
He said: “I am delighted that Scott has joined the IGD family as Head of Training. I believe Scott will help expand our programmes and awareness of the SNAG equipment and it will be a great pleasure working with someone of his calibre.”
