GOLF Business Solutions has announced the addition of Rick Coffey as National Sales Manager, Private Clubs. Coffey will lead efforts to reach a burgeoning private-club business for GOLF Business Solutions, which currently partners with more than 7,000 golf course partners around the world, offering a variety of technology and services to help them run their businesses more efficiently and effectively.
“Rick’s vast experience in developing strategies and solutions for private clubs makes his addition especially exciting for us,” said Mike Hendrix, vice president, GOLF Business Solutions. “He has a client-first mentality, which has helped him build great partnerships with win-win results.”
A Certified Membership Professional (CMP), Coffey has established himself as one of the top sales performers in the private club industry. Most recent prior experience includes serving as vice president and strategic advisor for MobiCom Commune Pte Ltd., a customized white-label mobile app and web portal licensed to club members for real-time interaction. In 2018, he launched his own private-club sales consulting company, as well as a talent resource firm, Private Club Specialists LLC.
In 2014, Coffey was named national president of the Professional Club Marketing Association (PCMA), becoming the youngest professional in the organization’s history to hold that position. He also is a regular contributor to BoardRoom magazine and the PCMA newsletter and is a sought-after panelist for various industry conferences.
A native of Haslett, Mich., and currently residing in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Coffey is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
