Davis Love III and Annika Sörenstam headed a list of six golf industry legends who were inducted into the PGA of America Hall of Fame on November 5.
Also entering the Hall of Fame were LPGA co-founder Shirley Spork, former PGA President Derek Sprague, the late golf club designer Karsten Solheim, who founded Ping, and the late Dave Marr II, who won the PGA Championship in 1965 and captained the US Ryder Cup team in 1981.
Sörenstam, Spork and Sprague all attended the ceremony in person, while the Solheim family was represented by Karsten’s son, John K, and grandson Allan. Love was unable to attend due to his caddying for his son, Dru, in PGA Tour Qualifying School.
