Simon Parkhill

Nike Golf is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Parkhill as Nike Golf’s new Sales Director for the EMEA region, starting immediately.

Parkhill replaces Angus Moir in this senior management position following Moir’s promotion to the role of General Manager of Nike Golf EMEA at the end of last year.

Parkhill is no stranger to Nike Golf, in fact he was with the company at the very beginning of Nike’s move into the sport, having joined Nike (UK) Ltd as a golf sales representative forIrelandin 2001, where he worked from theDublinoffice. During that period, Parkhill, who was born and bred in Northern Ireland, established the distribution of Nike’s golf products throughout the Emerald Isle, and grew market share to the point where two additional sales representatives had to be taken on.

Parkhill was subsequently promoted to the position of Golf Sales Manager forIrelandin 2003, and three years later he was promoted again, this time to become UK & IRE Golf Sales Manager, based in Nike’s UK HQ at Doxford,Sunderland. Over the next five years, he oversaw the doubling of the UK & IRE golf sales team to a staff of 24, and exceeded revenue and market share growth targets in each of those years.

Following two years of overseeing record-breaking growth in Nike’s football division, where he was UK and Ireland Sales Manager, Parkhill now returns to his first love, golf, where he is confident of continuing to grow Nike Golf’s revenue and market share following the launch of an exciting range of products for 2012, including the revolutionary new Nike 20XI ball and the VR_S range of woods and irons.

Married with three children, Parkhill, 40, a single figure golfer, will relocate with his family to Nike’s European HQ inHilversum, The Netherlands, and will be reporting directly to Angus Moir who is delighted to have re-signed someone so experienced in the Nike Golf brand, and whose knowledge of the European golf market is second to none. “All of us are looking forward to welcoming Simon back into the Nike Golf family,” Moir said. “His track record of exceeding sales targets is unrivalled and his knowledge of the brand makes him the ideal man to head up our sales team during what is an extremely exciting chapter in the history of Nike Golf.”

Said Parkhill “I’m really excited to be following in Angus’s illustrious footsteps and I’m looking forward to working with our talented sales team, many of whom I have known for a long time. The line-up of hardware, apparel and footwear we have for 2012 is one of the strongest I’ve ever known, and I’m excited about taking it to market.”
