New President for Agricultural Engineers Association

David Sturges, Managing Director for Oxfordshire based Countax, manufacturer of ride-on mowers was appointed President of the Agricultural Engineers Association at their Annual General Meeting on 29 April 2014.

David joined Countax as MD in 2011 following on from a career of almost 20 years with Hayter at Bishops Stortford, starting his career as a Mechanical Design Engineer, moving to International Sales Manager, and for the last 8 years Sales and Marketing Director. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from CranfieldUniversity. Countax was acquired by the Ariens company in 2010.

A member of the AEA Outdoor Power Council for 5 years, David became its Chairman in 2013. He has also served on the AEA Board for the last 2 years.

The Agricultural Engineers Association is the trade body representing manufacturers and importers of agricultural and outdoor power equipment.
