The award-winning Thracian Cliffs Resort in Bulgaria has appointed former head of the Austrian PGA, Hansjoerg Lumpi, as its new director of golf as it aims to elevate its guest golf experience to a new level.
In addition to 11 years at the Austrian PGA, the experienced golf operations specialist has honed his skills in Europe and America including spending time working at leading Austrian resorts – Brandlhof GC and Golf Eichenheim.
Lumpi joins a motivated new management team at the resort and will be responsible for enhancing every aspect of the experience on the golf course.

A number of strategic layout improvements have been implemented which have contributed to the recent membership invitation to join the Leading Golf Courses Europe – a prestigious club that includes a collection of world-class venues including Costa Navarino, Son Gual, Monte Rei and Open Championship venue Turnberry.
