New Appointment for Golf At Goodwood

One of the most accomplished and experienced professionals in women’s golf who has worked with victorious Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher is to join the Golf At Goodwood team this month.

Kerry Knowles played on the Ladies European Tour for four years before joining Wentworth Club as an assistant professional. The 38 year old brings to Goodwood a vast knowledge on all aspects of the golf industry including retail sales as well as tuition at every level and an extensive background in organising prestigious tournaments such as the PGA Championship and the historic World Matchplay Championship.

With 18 years of professional experience, Kerry says:”I am passionate about golf and really enjoy sharing my enthusiasm with my players and I also regard first class customer service as a priority.”

The former English Ladies Champion possesses an impressive list of additional achievements including the design and construction of a golf academy with driving range in Sardinia as well as subsequently taking responsibility for generating revenue for the complex.

She won the Southern Region PGA Leading Assistant award for three years in  succession and was Head Assistant Professional at Wentworth before taking up her new post at Golf At Goodwood as Golf Operations and Teaching Professional where she will be responsible for assisting with the golf operations including running golf days and looking after members plus teaching at the academy.

Kerry has played tournament golf throughout Europe as well as Sweden, South Africa and Asia and says: “My experience on tour has taught me the value of a holistic approach to coaching to enable players to reach their full potential whilst keeping it fun”.
