Golf trolley brand Motocaddy has appointed John Helas as its new managing director. Based at the company’s headquarters near Stansted airport in Essex, he will take up the position with immediate effect.

Helas joins Motocaddy after holding a similar position at Stanley Security, which is part of the Black & Decker group. His previous experience in senior executive roles ranges across the commercial and passenger vehicle industry to hi-tech telecoms.

A keen golfer, Helas will be assuming the role formerly held by Tony Webb, who remains a director of the company and continues as a board executive focussing on special projects and business development opportunities.

Motocaddy chairman David Wells commented: “I’m delighted to announce John’s appointment as our new managing director. He brings a huge amount of experience and knowledge to the business, and I’m totally confident that he will lead the experienced team to the next level of growth. Having recently launched the new M-Series, and with further new products lined up for 2019, John joins the business at an exciting time.”
