Management change at Macgregor Golf Company in Europe

Tony Wilkinson has been appointed general manager for the distribution of the Greg Norman Collection and MacGregor Golf clubs in the UK and Europe.

With immediate effect, MacGregor Golf Company appoints Tony Wilkinson General Manager of MacGregor Golf Europe with full operational and management responsibility for the distribution of Greg Norman Collection and MacGregor Golf clubs in the UK and Europe.

“Tony brings extensive marketing and operational experience necessary for the strategic growth for both brands. I look forward to Tony continuing to build on the success he achieved with the Greg Norman Collection brand over the last five years,” said Michael Setola, president and CEO of MacGregor Golf Company.

The announcement follows an unprecedented surge of media coverage on Greg Norman in the recent Open Champioship, which serves to underline the high regard given to him by golfers worldwide. Greg Norman is a member of the board of directors for MacGregor Golf Company as well as being a significant shareholder in the company.

It is understood that John Ennis, well-known in the European golf business after more than 25 years of service to MacGregor (including a period as chairman of the British Golf Industry Association), left the company last week.
