Major management changes at Acushnet Europe

7.55am 20th March 2007 - People

John Peal, Marketing Director of Acushnet Europe, is to leave the company within the next few weeks. During his 18 years of service the Cambridgeshire based operation has expanded into eight new European market territories. The Cobra was brand added to his portfolio at the turn of the millennium and turnover of all the brands has multiplied tenfold to its present level of well in excess of $200 million.

Ironically this dynamic and successful performance is thought to have been the reason behind Peal’s departure. The Acushnet brands are judged to have grown so big that each one now needs to have its own marketing manager, still to be appointed, reporting to the three existing sales directors, who have all been in their present positions for some time. They are Nick Tempest (Cobra), Mike Lucas (Footjoy) and Ken Graham (Titleist & Pinnacle).

John Peal, who turned 50 last year, has turned down the opportunity of becoming part of the new Company structure.
