Following their spectacular prize draw at BTME, Highspeed Group recently made an official presentation to the winner, James Bonfield, Course Manager at The Hertfordshire Golf and Country Club with a certificate.
Highspeed Group’s joint M.D. David Mears is shown here presenting the certificate to James who commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to win this superb prize for the club. It means that we can now bring our wash-off facilities right up to date.”
The presentation followed a meeting which included Crown Golf’s Health and Safety Manager, Robin Dixon. Robin is responsible for all golf courses within Crown’s portfolio, of which The Hertfordshire is one. He explained: “Crown Golf is very environmentally aware and part of my remit is to ensure that we are compliant with all appropriate legislation. The Groundwater Regulations are high on the agenda for us, as it is for most golf courses, and we have been investigating washpad solutions.
“The ClearWater system prize is most fortuitous and has enabled us to accelerate our plans at The Hertfordshire.”
Robin also explained that reduction in waste and energy savings is a given throughout the group and he sees the installation of ClearWater meeting these criteria. Not only will ClearWater ensure legal compliance but will save thousands of litres of water by recycling and thus reduce expenditure.
The ClearWater system installation is being carried out by the greenkeeping team under James Bonfield’s direction.
