Frank Heery Named VP Agronomy Services for OnGolf

OnGolf, the golf course decision making platform, has named Frank Heery as Vice President of Agronomy Services. Heery brings more than 20 years’ of successful experience in the golf course industry to OnGolf. He previously served as Director of Agronomy for the Club at Mediterra in Naples, Florida.

“OnGolf is pleased to have someone of Frank’s stature and operational expertise join our team,” said OnGolf Chief Executive Officer Walt Norley. “This is a key position for OnGolf as we launch our revolutionary golf course management system this Spring.”

In his new role, Frank will manage the Company’s customer service support and new business development programs.

At the Club at Mediterra, Heery was responsible for the daily supervision and execution of golf course landscape maintenance, which includes leading a staff of sixty employees in all areas of agronomic competency and implementing course standards and procedures. During his two years at the Club at Mediterra, Heery implemented and coordinated a $14 million dollar major golf course renovation program, completed the North Course practice tee renovation, increased the tee area from seventy thousand square feet to one hundred and ten thousand square feet, and initiated and completed a comprehensive soil remediation program for all golf course playing surfaces, eliminating the need for major construction.

Prior to his work at Mediterra, he served as Head Golf Course Superintendent at The Westmoreland Golf Club in Illinois and The Denver County Club in Colorado over the span of twelve years.

Heery earned a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Environmental Science from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA.
