Nicole Kardienaal CMDip has become the first Club Employee in the Netherlands to attain the CMAE Club Management Diploma. The Diploma is awarded across Europe by CMAE as a key qualification in their Management Development Programme (MDP).

Nicole’s career in the golf world started in the summer of 2016 at Golfclub Cromstrijen where after one year she was moved into the role of Office Manager. Prior to moving into the club industry, she worked in various PR and Marketing roles.

Golfclub Cromstrijen is a typical member club with more than 1000 members amongst which about 100 active volunteers.

Speaking to CMAE Nicole commented on her achievement of gaining the CMDip.

“I am grateful to the board for their willingness to invest in my personal development and the golf club” she said. “I successfully completed the club management program part 1 and part two, after which I managed to obtain my CMDip diploma through an assessment. The golf industry faces challenging changes, that offer opportunities. At Golf Club Cromstrijen we use those opportunities to firmly promote most attractive club in the Rotterdam area, in the Netherlands and abroad. It makes me feel proud that, with my obtained knowledge, I can add value to that!”

Also commenting was CMAE’s Director of Education Torbjorn Johansson. “It gives me great pleasure to award Nicole her diploma having seen her work incredibly hard during her time at MDP 1 and 2 – both of them seeing her travel to Portugal for the courses” he said. “The CMAE are supporters of the R&A’s women in golf charter and we hope that positive stories like this will inspire women to join and thrive in the golf club management industry”.
