Leading golf footwear innovator, ECCO Golf, has appointed Andrzej Bikowski as new Lead Designer.
Known affectionately as “Bartie” by his colleagues, he joins from ECCO Sport where he was head of the design team.
Originally from Poland, Bikowski gained a Masters Degree in Industrial Design from the Department of Industrial Design in the city of Lodz in his homeland.
Further expanding his understanding of materials and the shoe making process, Bikowski then attended the ArsSutoria School in Italy. He has since gained a wealth of experience at some of Europe’s leading lifestyle and sports shoe companies.
“I’m very excited to be joining such a passionate and ambitious team in the ECCO Golf lab,” said Bikowski. “I look forward to bringing my ideas to a golf collection that is already full of design inspiration and comfort technologies.”
Head of Global Golf at ECCO Golf, Michael Waack, added, “Bartie’s reputation as a Lead Designer at ECCO is outstanding.
“I’m sure I speak for the entire ECCO Golf team when I say we’re thrilled with his appointment and he will be a great addition, both as a professional and a person.”
Bikowski started as Lead Designer at ECCO Golf on August 15th 2016.
