Experienced golf club senior manager Edward Doyle has been appointed the new Director of Golf at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort in Ireland.

In his role, Doyle will oversee all aspects of golf operations and the overall golfer experience across the resort’s two championship courses, Druids Glen and Druids Heath. He will also assist in the launch of Curracloe Links, located in County Wexford, adjacent to Neville Hotel’s Ravenport Resort.

A native of Dublin, Doyle has a long history with the game and running golf operations. Prior to joining Druids Glen, he spent more than 15 years at Luttrellstown Castle Resort, half of which was under the guidance of Colm Hannon, a pioneer in running many top class golf resorts, including Adare Manor, venue for the 2027 Ryder Cup, and Sandy Lane in Barbados. Most recently, he spent 15 years as Director of Golf at Westmanstown Golf Club in Dublin.

Located just 40 minutes south of Dublin, the five-star Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is regarded as one of Ireland’s finest inland courses and was voted Golf Resort of the Year in 2023 by the Irish Golf Tour Operator Association. The Pat Ruddy-designed Druids Glen golf course underwent an extensive restoration that same year, re-establishing the course as the ‘Augusta of Europe’.

In addition to his responsibilities at Druids Glen, Doyle will assist in the launch of Curracloe Links, spearheading what will become one of Ireland’s leading golf destinations. Located adjacent to the iconic Curracloe Beach, the 18-hole links has been masterfully brought to life by the award-winning architecture team of Dana Fry and Jason Straka, renowned for their environmentally sensitive and strategic approach to golf course architecture.

The course, which is in the final stages of construction and grassing, blends a rolling landscape with stunning natural coastal terrain, and is set to open for play in the spring of 2027.

The golf course is adjacent to Neville Hotels’ recently opened Ravenport Resort, which features 49 guest rooms, refined dining at Willow Restaurant and the Dunes Bar, and the new Lír Spa & Health Club, with a 15-metre swimming pool. Golf lodges will also be available for rental once the golf course has opened.
