Having been CEO at World of Leading Golf for the past five years, Feldt knows what it takes to bring more awareness to attract the right clientele and bring more awareness to the Öschberghof’s golf establishments and looks forward to the task.

Claus A. Feldt,

In the past few years, Der Öschberghof has expanded its golf grounds with an additional 18-hole course and has completed the refurbishment of the hotel and spa. Determined to become the No. 1 Golf & Spa destination in the greater region Stuttgart, Black Forest, Lake Constance and Switzerland, the management of Der Öschberghof has asked former World of Leading Golf CEO Claus A. Feldt to support them in the organization and communication of the golf & sports segment. With the turn of the year, Feldt has therefore given up his position at World of Leading Golf to become Manager Golf & Sport at Der Öschberghof.

Located in the hilly landscape at the edge of the Black Forest close by the source of the Danube, Der Öschberghof is not only magnificently situated, it exudes magnitude and high-class recreation with every pore. Golf enthusiasts who have already enjoyed playing the older 18-hole park-style course or the more undulated 9-hole course will find them to be carefully reconditioned and pristinely taken care of to match up to the outstanding style and quality of the whole estate. For more variety and challenge, the Öschberghof owners have also invested in creating a new links-style East Course which plays right along the grounds below the grand terrace and spa area of the hotel.

As a major part of managing this astounding 45-hole establishment, Claus Feldt plans to not only attract golfers from the greater area as members, the estate offers everything any sophisticated and spoilt golfer may want to indulge in just for a break. The idea is to create a refuge where demanding guests can take a breath in the privacy that emerges from finding oneself amongst like-minded and -situated people. “Playing golf here is to become just as much an experience for the mind and soul as it is for the body”, Feldt explains. Which is why the exclusive, yet welcoming club character is going to be extended towards those who have booked short-term membership packages also.

These packages are laced with customer-minded golf extras like Pro hours, club fitting, swing analyses, golf fitness or tournament preparation. Going public with what the ÖSCHBERGHOF Academy already has to offer is a strong focus in Feldt’s concept for the venue. But of course, these packages will include joining up in the club area within the restaurant “Hexenweiher” as well as the option to dine at the more rustic and country-style Öventhütte or the more sophisticated “Esszimmer” at the hotel. The remodeled hotel also boasts an aspiring fine dining spot named “ÖSCH NOIR” adjacent to a smoker’s lounge and bar. Pleasures that come along with having the choice to use any one of the relaxation zones and baths of the 5000 square meter SPA and finally retiring in one of the stylish rooms or suites.

Having been CEO at World of Leading Golf for the past 5 years, Feldt knows what it takes to bring more awareness to attract the right clientele and bring more awareness to the Öschberghof’s golf establishments and looks forward to the task. Leaving his place as head of the union to do so was not an easy decision to make, however. Feldt is one of the founders of the association and will keep watching over its fate, especially since Der Öschberghof is a member of World of Leading Golf. So, naturally, he wishes the organization and his former colleagues all the best for the future.
