Bentham strengthens operations team

New hires designed to enhance member and visitor experience at popular North West venue

With a focus on expanding its golf, events, and stay-and-play offerings to meet growing demand, Bentham Golf Course in Lancashire has announced the appointment of two key team members to new leadership roles.

As part of the Lancaster-based venue’s continued commitment to enhancing the member and guest experience, Matt Stables joins the team as Clubhouse Manager. Coming from a hospitality background, Matt will focus on growing the club’s event offerings and expanding operations to meet the evolving needs of members and customers as the on-course accommodation under its Wenningdale Escapes brand continues to grow, with increased demand for its pods and lodges for hire and sale amongst the fairways.

Josh Mullen has been promoted to Golf Retail Manager. Formerly Assistant Bar Manager, Josh has already demonstrated his retail and customer service skills and has a deep understanding of the community. In his new senior role, Josh will oversee the day-to-day operations of the golf shop, expanding the offering and ensuring a first-class retail experience while strengthening relationships with members and guests.

Commentating on the staff changes, Operations Director John Marshall said: “We’ve had a very strong few years of growth across our golf course and stay-and-play business. To continue that momentum into the new year, we’re investing in talented people who can help us take the next step forward. Josh and Matt will both play key roles in strengthening our operations and ensuring every player and guest enjoys the best possible experience every time they visit.”
