Chris Gray is to continue his role as the Asian Golf Industry Federation‘s President for a third term after being unanimously re-elected to the post during the AGIF’s 16th Annual General Meeting.
“These are exciting times for the Asian golf industry in general and the Asian Golf Industry Federation in particular,” said Gray, Head of Sustainable Golf & Agronomy Asia-Pacific with The R&A. “Following another notable year of progress for the AGIF, we look forward to continuing to assist the golf industry in Asia in 2026 to take the next step in development toward a sustainable industry.”
Also continuing in their roles on the Board are Vice President Adam Calver (Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club), Treasurer Mark Donohue (Rain Bird) and Secretary Michael Wong (Singapore Island Country Club).
They will be supported on the Board by Nick Brown (Campey Turf Care Systems), Owen Hester (Green Dynasty), Bryan Littlejohn (Centaur Asia Pacific), Dandelly Nguyen (54 Vietnam), Nguyen Thuy Long (Jebsen & Jessen) and Bruce Williams (Brandt Consolidated).
Gray said: “We are fortunate to have so many outstanding individuals who are prepared to devote their time and efforts to driving the Asian golf industry forward.”
The one Board member who stood down was Henry Ng, Regional Manager Asia with Sustane Natural Fertilizer.
“Henry has been a stalwart of the Federation. On behalf of all those involved with the AGIF, I express our gratitude and appreciation for his sterling service. I know he’ll continue to support the Federation in any way he can,” said Gray, who also noted the contribution of Rishi Narain.
Gray said: “Since our last AGM, we welcomed Rishi to the AGIF Management Team in the role of Head – Events, Sponsorship and Membership. In the space of 10 months, he has made a significant impact. With the support of his own team in Delhi, Rishi has overseen an upturn in membership renewals and bringing in new members. He also was instrumental in the success of a Club & Turf Management Conference in Thailand in May and our best-ever Annual International Summit in Kuala Lumpur in October, once more coinciding with the LPGA Tour’s Maybank Championship.”
