Under Armour has picked up three awards in the recent Golf Monthly Editor’s Choice awards for both its footwear and apparel products.
The Spieth 4 GTX and the HOVR Show GTX SL earned awards in the footwear category, while the UA Iso-Chill polo picked up an award in the apparel category.
Built, tested and designed for the Majors, the Spieth 4 is the fourth iteration of Jordan Spieth’s signature shoe. As stated by Golf Monthly: “The Spieth 4 uses insights from Jordan Spieth and biomechanics expert JJ Rivet to deliver unmatched stability and traction. Embrace the potential gains and give it a try.”
The HOVR Show GTX SL is a new offering from Under Armour in the performance spikeless category, offering the same Rotational Resistance Traction technology found in the Spieth 4, but in a spikeless format. Also offering GORE-TEX waterproofing, this shoe is ideal for golfers looking for a performance shoe they can wear year round in any conditions with a spikeless outsole.
The Iso-Chill polo disperses body heat through the use of a titanium dioxide in the thread which is cool to the touch thanks to ribbon-shaped nylon fibres that lay flat.
On receiving the awards, Neil Heslop, owner of PJH Brand Management Ltd, the official brand partner of Under Armour Golf in the UK & Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to once again receive these awards from Golf Monthly, at Under Armour we always celebrate the wins. These awards really emphasise the innovation and team effort that goes into every product we bring to market.
“To be only four years into our journey as a footwear brand in golf and continuously earn awards from the outset validates the fresh approach we’ve brought to golf footwear from an innovation and technical standpoint. We’ll continue to keep pushing the boundaries and improving the unmatched performance of our shoes to give golfers the absolute best in performance, something the Under Armour brand was built on and delivers year after year.”
