Sunwise Waterloo

In award-winning British eyewear brand Sunwise’s golf collection for 2012, the colour contrast of bright and pastel colours is evident among the eleven new styles. And with all models designed in the UK, the brand’s ‘Britishness’ combines with flair and versatility to make Sunwise a highly desirable retail item this golf season.

A turquoise blue twist now sparkles in the Waterloo Chrome, last year’s best-seller and the spearhead of Sunwise’s popular and innovative Chromafusion range. Extending the Premier ‘Made in UK’ Chromafusion and Polafusion ranges are new GS styles Waterloo GS Green (Chromafusion) in understated metallic shamrock green, and Greenwich GS Grey (Polafusion) in a masculine grey with matching deep purple components. Both are finished with a fun gold flash coating on their advanced technology lenses.

Other attractive new arrivals bring the Sunwise golf range to over fifty styles, including interchangeable British designs which effortlessly take you from the golf course onto the street and into the realms of casual wear, giving you the versatility you need without breaking the bank.

Brightening the already striking interchangeable range are the Equinox RM White with sunshine yellow features and red multi-layered protective lenses, and the Twister Green in neon green with cool grey features. The gorgeous Equinox Pink and petite face style Thirst Pearl add glamour and femininity to the sporty interchangeable ranges.

The all-new interchangeable Cherwell range features adjustable nose pads, for a secure fit for all face shapes. Each item features a single mirror lens which can be interchanged with additional lenses for all light conditions. Cherwell is available in conventional Black, Grey and Deep Red, and for the more daring it comes in a bright White with Blue components.

Effective and highly stylish British shot-saving golfing equipment

“We are very committed to the golf market in 2012” says Sunwise Brand Development Executive, Maria Aries. “This year we aim to create more brand awareness among golfers, to create a better understanding of Sunwise as effective and highly stylish British shot-saving golfing equipment, and to build our network of pro shop stockists.

“Loyalty is at the heart of the Sunwise brand, and therefore we do not sell directly to consumers” Aries goes on to say. “We help golf pros to become professional eyewear retailers, and we offer attractive POS options to Sunwise stockists.

“Sunglasses are often an impulse purchase when the sun breaks out, and with our price points added to the emphasis on high quality, plus the fact that it is a truly British brand, Sunwise is a very strong sales proposition in the pro shop.”

The brand’s increased focus on golf comes after gaining strongholds in the cricket, running, motor sport, cycling, outdoors and optician markets.

The company, which increased its golf sales by 26% in 2011, has retained golf agency Hiseman Limited to get even more golfers talking about its products in 2012.

Agency head Andy Hiseman comments: “Sunwise is a British brand which combines affordable prices with cutting-edge technology, stunning designs and rock-solid performance. All of which equals a strong-selling product in a golf shop. They’re a superb shot-saver and we’re looking forward to telling golfers all about Sunwise this season.”

All Sunwise eyewear comes with a 1-year guarantee, with after-sales support handled from the company’sOxfordheadquarters.

Sunwise has a Best British Export award from UK Trade & Industry awards for Quality and Design, and the brand is currently exported to 28 countries. “We will be investing more in British product development in 2012 and beyond” said Aries.

The Times newspaper called Sunwise “the sunglasses for sports enthusiasts”, and the brand was rated a “Best Buy” in The Independent On Sunday.
