TaylorMade has tripled its share of the golf bag market over the last three years, and is hoping to continue its growth in this sector following the launch of its range of stand bags for 2019.
The new line up comprises five bags – FlexTech, FlexTech Waterproof, FlexTech Crossover, FlexTech Lite and LiteTech 3.0 – the first four of which feature the company’s FlexTech base system.
The FlexTech base is a collapsible base that allows for easy deployment of the legs with additional space that negates club crowding, while all five bags feature a new self-adjusting strap system that allows golfers to have balanced bag without having to adjust cumbersome straps. Without a back pad, the straps are more effective when utilised as a single or double configuration.
The FlexTech and FlexTech Waterproof bags feature a unique construction that has each main side pockets built into the centre of the bag to create more storage space without adding weight. It also features a cart strap pass-through to allow easy access to the oversized apparel pocket through a single piece construction.
FlexTech
Weighing 2.4kg, the FlexTech boasts a five-way top; water-resistant, seam-sealed valuables pocket with a suede lining; anti-split stand system; full-length dividers and 11 pockets. It is offered in titanium/blood orange, charcoal, blood orange/black, and navy/red/white. RRP £179
FlexTech Waterproof
Weighing 2.1kg, the FlexTech Waterproof features a five-way top; Waterproof welded pockets; Umbrella holder; Anti-split stand system; full-length dividers to eliminate club crowding; six pockets plus one open pocket for drinks; comfort back pads. FlexTech Crossover
The FlexTech Crossover boasts a 14-way top to protect each club in the bag, access to the two oversized apparel pockets on the side of the bag that are made possible by the unique design built into the centre ball pocket. The bag features three larger front-facing pockets (including a cooler pocket with a drain port), for easy access storage while strapped onto the cart. Weighing 2.7kg, the it boasts 10 pockets; an internal insulated cooler pocke; insulated water bottle pocket; full-length dividers. FlexTech Lite
Weighing 2.1kg, the FlexTech Lite is the lightest bag in the FlexTech family and is lighter, more comfortable to carry and offers a more functional design than its predecessor. Weight was saved by moving to a single stay construction, which is positioned along the spine of the bag to ensure it is durable while remaining lightweight. A rangefinder pocket/capsule has also been added to the side accessory pocket to allow for easy access. It features a four-way top, eight pockets, and full-length dividers and is offered in Silver/Blood Orange, Navy/White, Black/Blood Orange, Blood Orange, Kalea. RRP £159.
LiteTech 3.0
Weighing just 1.2kg, LiteTech 3.0 is TaylorMade’s introduction into the ultra-lite category that provides the market a full-sized, quality golf bag offering. LiteTech 3.0 utilises bag body materials three times lighter than the FlexTech Lite and an ultra-lightweight and durable stand system that features carbon fibre legs and light weight collapsible base system. It features a four-way top with three grab handles; six pockets that include a large apparel pocket that can easily store a rain suit; full-length club dividers and a new self-adjusting strap.
