PXG unveils second generation 0211 woods range

11.31am 21st October 2022 - New Products

PXG has released a new range of 0211 metalwoods, featuring drivers, fairway woods and hybrids, which are engineered to deliver easy-to-hit performance wrapped in a clean, classic design at an affordable price.

According to PXG founder Bob Parsons, the second generation 0211 woods leverage years of data collected by the company’s golf club fitters and rigorous testing by the engineering team.

He said: “These golf clubs represent a well-researched design that strips away all distractions while employing top-quality materials and advanced technologies to help make the game easier and more enjoyable for golfers across the board.”

The PXG 0211 driver features an adjustable hosel and promises ultra-fast ball speeds

0211 Driver
The 0211 Driver features a Ti811 body, a strong titanium alloy material well-suited for creating extremely thin-walled geometries. It also has a high-strength Ti412 Face and Variable Face Design. The titanium alloy face material has an exceptionally high yield strength and a low elastic modulus to generate significant face deflection and create ultra-fast ball speeds. The Variable Face Design features topographic geometries that help reduce mass and further maximize ball speeds while simultaneously delivering enhanced durability.
It also features PXG’s adjustable hosel, which can change the loft by +/- 1½ degrees to optimize the trajectory.

The 0211 fairway woods and hybrids feature square faces made from a type of stainless steel that is twice as strong as traditional 17-4 steel

0211 Fairways and Hybrids
The 0211 Fairways and Hybrids feature a stainless steel body that has a yield strength approximately 70% higher than 17-4 stainless steel, which is widely used by the majority of other golf club manufacturers. An HT1770 stainless steel face that is almost twice as strong as the popular 17-4.

Both golf clubs feature an optimized squared face design that shifts the perimeter skirt more vertical, increasing the surface area to boost forgiveness significantly.

In place of moveable weight technology, the fairways and hybrids feature an innovative body design that optimizes the centre-of-gravity position to create a high moment of inertia and an exceptional sound and feel. The hosels are fixed.

Robotic polishing, a high-precision process, is employed across the lineup to ensure the final face thickness and face curvature (the bulge and roll radii) are manufactured to design specifications. This helps maximize performance and impart corrective launch and spin for ideal ball flight on off-centre shots.

RRPs: PXG 0211 Drivers ($299), PXG 0211 Fairways ($249), and PXG 0211 Hybrids ($249).
