Retro florals and playful geometric prints are two of the standout themes in the new Original Penguin Golf Spring Summer ’24 apparel collection for women.
Bold artistry and creative flair were key ingredients in the print and graphics for this season, with one large-scale print featuring Pete and friends on the golf course, a whimsical, editorial print in mood-boosting pastel hues.
The brand, known for its unique, humorous and detail-oriented clothing, truly embraces colour for the new line, using soft pastels like Gelato Pink, with pops of Sharp Green, in a first delivery called ‘Season of Love’, evoking nostalgia, calmness, joy and well-being. Colours are then grounded back to Navy and White for those looking for a classic option.
In the ‘Pop Barbie’ 60s inspired delivery two, featuring oversized floral prints and feminine polos, Bright Barbie Pink and Nebula Blue are subsequently introduced as the months get warmer, grounded next to Bright White and Navy to create more character contrast.
These striking colour palettes perfectly harmonise with Original Penguin’s trademark detailing including piping, rib details, highlight blocking, and power mesh inserts and cut-outs.
SS24 also sees the introduction of new Veronica styles, including a lightweight jumper in the second fashion drop, as well as a new, sleeveless, essential Veronica Dress.
Fabrics and performances have been crafted using sustainable high-quality yarns and eco-friendly technologies under the ‘Re-Originals’ tagline.
These include luxury recycled yarns with elastane blends, and the use of Repreve, the world’s leading performance fibre made from recycled plastic bottles.
Moisture-wicking, UPF Protection, 4-way Stretch, and super-lightweight constructions are strong performance attributes across the collection, in addition to comfort details that include tummy control in all bottoms and soft, elastic gripper tape on the inside of all shorts for skirts and dresses.
