North Middlesex’s Howard Till rates the new MH Golf software

MH GolfNorth Middlesex GC has recently upgraded to the latest MH Golf club management software by MH Systems, and general manager Howard Till is delighted with the improvements, the user-friendliness, and the consistently high level of support.

He also likes the price of running MH Systems software, an important point in these cost-conscious times given that the club runs their full package: the Memberships & Subscriptions and Handicaps & Competitions modules, an EPoS system with three tills, two Player Score Input screens, plus the ‘web services’ option whereby members can go online and see their latest handicap, results, bar balance and enter competitions.

Howard’s background means he’s used all sorts of different software systems including CAD. So when he describes the new MH Golf software as more intuitive and user-friendlier, Howard knows what he’s talking about. “The new MH Golf software is even easier to use,” he said, “and the improvements are very welcome. I’ve always preferred working with MH Systems’ software as it was genuinely fully integrated, instead of different modules simply being linked.”

Emphasising the points about integration and the support, he comments, “The software has all been developed by MH Systems, not by different developers. This makes a huge difference to the support, and as I’ve found, any one of their support team can answer your questions when you call them and resolve your problem. When you’re running a golf club, you simply can’t underestimate the importance of that.”

MH Systems development team has listened to its customers, and a major new feature is that membership subscriptions can now be e-mailed easily. Other improvements include the ability to see and track all the membership category changes, critical to understanding the financial implications of the movements in a club’s membership.

It’s also easier to track and see those who have paid their subscriptions, and those who haven’t. Options which need to be audited and invoiced like locker rentals and trolley storage, are much easier to deal with as well.

The user experience has been further improved by allowing the user interface to scale up to different screen sizes, and making the software easier and faster to use day in and day out. Other new features include more reports, a modern looking interface, and a print preview button for any list or report. Behind the interface, elements like the database now run in the background, automatically checking for any changes eg. to members’ contact details, bar balances etc. as well.
