Off The Deck, an innovative superyacht golf brand, has recently launched the SeaDriveCX, a first-of-its-kind portable golf entertainment system designed specifically for the superyacht industry.
Transforming the deck of any superyacht into a driving range and a golf simulator, the SeaDriveCX uses a state-of-the-art GC Quad launch monitor to delivers true-to-life club and ball data and enables superyacht owners and their guests to play over 245 virtual courses or take part in a range of themed target challenges.
Manufactured at Off The Deck’s production facility in Silverstone, Northamptonshire – home of Formula 1 – the SeaDriveCX is made entirely from lightweight carbon fibre and engineered by a team of F1 specialists. It is designed to be simple to set up and put away and is able to withstand harsh maritime environments.
The optimised touchscreen can be used in bright sunlight, and the unit can be used around the clock, as the integrated deck lights enable nighttime play.
Hitting the balls off into the ocean has also been considered. The system has been calibrated with Off the Deck’s non-toxic B1E biodegradable golf balls, which dissolve harmlessly in the sea within ten days.
Founded by Ashley Hare, his brother Alex Hare, who was CFO at Pitch, an indoor golf entertainment company, and entrepreneur Alan Shubotham, Off The Deck’s SeaDriveCX is available for pre-orders now, with delivery expected in early 2025.
Off The Deck has recently received the backing of PGA TOUR player Taylor Moore, with the current world No.68 investing in the company and agreeing to become a brand ambassador, while Moore’s adviser Sean King has joined the board as Non-Executive Chairman.
Taylor Moore said: “With its plug & play capability, the SeaDriveCX is a revolutionary golf product. From the start, the guys at Off the Deck have done everything right to make this the world’s first portable luxury golf simulator.”
The Off the Deck team will be attending the upcoming Cannes Yacht Show and Monaco Yacht Show in September.
