With the anticipation of Ryder Cup at Gleneagles already building following a sensational competition this year in Medinah, Glenmuir has launched a new range of exclusive Ryder Cup Fanwear.
Supporters of the European Ryder Cup Team can choose from a bespoke selection of fanwear from the renowned Scottish company, which has been the Preferred Supplier of shirts and knitwear to the team since 1987.
The special designs of the three polo shirts, four pieces of knitwear, two wind shirts, baseball caps and knitted hats and socks all feature the Ryder Cup logo, European flag and are not available in Glenmuir’s bi-annual seasonal collections.
It’s a prime opportunity for golfers to get in early and show their support for the European Ryder Cup Team as they look to defend the trophy on home territory.
Glenmuir marketing director Brian Mair said: “This year’s Ryder Cup was arguably the greatest ever and there is no doubt that legions of sports fans, let alone golfers, have a new-found passion and respect for the event.
“Owning an exclusive Glenmuir Ryder Cup garment is a tremendous way to start the build-up to the competition when it comes toScotlandfor the first time.”
The Glenmuir 2014 Ryder Cup Collection will be available from selected pro shops and retailers and there are 14 garments in total.
Shirts available include the Ochil (mercerised cotton), Auchterarder (UV protection) and Strathearn (UV protection). Sweaters comprise Braco, Ardoch and Faskally (all lightweight cotton) or Branklyn (washable lambswool).
When it comes to outerwear there’s the short-sleeve Birnam and long-sleeve Kinross wind shirts in a three-layer stretch interlock fabric, while there are Killiecrankie and Balhousie caps, Dupplin and Gowrie knitted beanie hats and cushioned Moulin socks in three colour options.
Glenmuir works closely with every European Ryder Cup Team Captain to design matching outfits for each day of the competition, including practice days.
