The Grass Group – always at the forefront of machinery innovation – brought two new products for grounds professionals to view at Saltex 2014.
Impressive new machines from the ever-expanding Trilo and RotaDairon portfolio were shown alongside the popular ATT TMSystem™ – itself being shown for the first time on a fairway mower.
One of four new models in the Trilo S-Line range of vacuum sweepers is the Trilo S8. The new design incorporates a short, compact chassis which allows for easy manoeuvring whilst providing the improved brush hood and enlarged suction hose with more room.
The entire range benefits from increased airflow due to the redesigned are inlet and outlet which results in increased suction power. The modular build of the S line also means options, including axle setup, implements and hitch options, hose configurations, body types, attachments and fittings, can easily be incorporated to satisfy the unique needs of the end user. The new style spring tensioned V belt driveline gives increased performance, easier maintenance and a quieter machine whilst in operation.
The S8, the smallest of the 4 new models, has a 1.8m working width and offers an 8m3 loading capacity. Designed to reflect today’s ‘lean’ manufacturing methods, the newly designed and innovative Trilo S8, S12, S16 and S20 machines follow on from the S3 and S4 models already launched.
The brand new pedestrian propelled SEED-CAR makes its debut to the already comprehensive range of seeding machinery available from RotaDairon. It will find interest with landscapers, turf professionals as well as the hire market. This new machine is perfect for use in small spaces with narrow or difficult accesses, allowing seeding into all ‘corners’ of a ground. It has a working width of just 700mm; weighs only 51kg but has a 55 litre capacity as well as an integral 18kg rear roller. The handlebar is height adjustable and has all the controls for easy seed distribution. In addition, visual manual adjustment on the seed hopper enables regulation over the flow of seed.
A light fairway mower fitted with ATT TMSystem™ forms another highlight. The range of SMART cassettes provide grounds maintenance staff with the flexibility to conduct a number of different maintenance activities including Aeration, Brushing, De-Thatching, Scarifying, Grooming and of course Mowing. Finding applications in more areas than just Golf Course fairways such as football and sports turf, this set up offers increased productivity and reduced lifetime costs thanks to the flexibility and versatility offered by the interchangeable SMART cassettes – helped even more by the ability to use them on triplex and fairway mowers and ATT’s pedestrian system the INFiNiSystem™.
