New HMT Technology to Debut at Scottish Golf Show

12.54am 23rd March 2012 - New Products

Scottish golf professionals will be the first in the UK to see Foresight Sports’ ground-breaking new Head Measurement Technology (HMT) when it debuts at next week’s Scottish Golf Show, at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh (March 30-April 1).

Following on the heels of the revolutionary GC2, the world’s most accurate launch monitor, Foresight Sports has introduced the HMT add-on to precisely capture club-head data with an ease and accuracy never before seen. With HMT a complete picture of the swing analysis and club-head performance is now instantly accessible.

Pros can see instantly critical data such as club-head velocity, horizontal club path, smash factor and dynamic loft and lie – even impact location – with the same unmatched accuracy and confidence they’ve come to expect from the GC2, which is recommended and used by leading manufacturers such as Titleist, TaylorMade and Cleveland.

Six of the world’s top 10 – and 40 of the top 100 – use the GC2, not to mention dozens of other Tour pros, and it’s the market-leading statistical data generated by the GC2 that drives Sky Sports’ renowned Shot Centre during the PGA Tour coverage. Now, that offering is to be enhanced further with the introduction of HMT.

Unlike other technologies that derive club head performance from indirect analysis, HMT uses the same proven, camera-based approach to performance analysis found in the GC2. Easily applied position indicators on the club-head insure all critical data is captured. Every club can be tracked – from lob wedge to driver – and, like the GC2, it works on grass or mats, indoors or out.

Ian Mitchell, of Foresight Sports UK, said: “Never before has a technology provided real-time ball-flight and club-head analysis with this level of accuracy, consistency and reliability. With the GC2 and HMT in tandem, teaching professionals finally have a solution that delivers the full range of performance – from club-head to ball launch – including impact location on the club face. It’s a whole new ball game…”

The GC2 records the most accurate ball-flight statistics on the market today, directly measuring ball flight and spin at club impact and launch and calculates carry and total distance in a split-second. Its portability means the club pro can utilise the unit for coaching and club-fitting inside or out regardless of weather conditions.

The Foresight Sports GC2 starts at £4,995 (+ vat). The HMT unit starts from £3,995 (+ vat). For more information call 0845 644 3870 or email info@foresightsports.co.uk
